The farrowing pen offers a very open pen structure that enables optimum animal control. The piglets are guided to the piglet nest with microclimate via the heat and the design of the pen floor. This minimises crushing losses. The sows are more active in the exercise pen, are vital and have higher milk yields. This reduces the labour input per sow.
